*Theresa is a CPA and graduated from CSU with an accounting degree.

* Theresa currently has her own financial consulting practice, and prior to that was a finance and operating executive for a $2 billion private equity firm that invested in over 35 different companies. She has significant experience and expertise in analyzing and investing in a variety of businesses.

*Theresa worked for the largest public accounting firm in the world and was also a finance executive for a public restaurant company.

*Shelton Elementary is named after Theresa’s family. Hal Shelton, her father in law, served on the Jeffco BOE in the 1960s! The Shelton family worked hard to welcome Pleasant View Elementary families (after their school closed) and make them part of the Shelton Elementary family!

*Theresa was a loyal volunteer in the classroom, served as Treasurer of her PTA, and chaired her School Accountability Committee the last two years. She also serves on the Colorado State University Accounting Advisory Board.

*Theresa grew up on a vegetable farm north of Denver and is a Colorado native!

*Theresa loves to ski, ride her bike, and cook!

*Theresa and her husband have a son who graduated from Golden High School and 2 twin daughters in middle school.
